The Mindful Leader: Cultivating Leadership Presence

Mindfulness is fitness for the mind.  As a leadership practice, mindfulness is proving to be a remarkably powerful technique to help us to deal with the complexities of leading in an ever-changing, uncertain world. This systematic training of the mind cultivates leadership presence – that ability to be focused, clear, creative, and compassionate.

This evidence-based eCourse will explore mindfulness in the context of leadership excellence. Through readings, assessments, videos, participatory exercises, and eDiscussions, you will learn how to use mindfulness to create a leadership presence.

This course is for people who aspire to understand, experience, and cultivate mindfulness, personally and professionally. In this interactive and experiential, 6-week, 12-hour eCourse, you will:

  • Discover the nine aspects of mindful leadership
  • Explore mindfulness and its impact on leadership and wellness
  • Practice mindfulness techniques that help manage the stress of leading
  • Identify how you can use mindfulness to cultivate leadership presence

Instructor: Val Kinjerski, MSW, PhD, RSW is a leading authority on employee engagement and the topic of Spirit at Work. She is at her best when she engages in a mindful practice. Prior to dedicating herself to the creation of spirit at work, Val held social work positions ranging from front-line to program development to senior management. She is the author of Rethinking your Work.

CE Credit: This eCourse qualifies for 12 CE credits. For example, upon successful completion, Social Workers will receive 12 Category “A” credits under the ACSW competence requirements. This eCourse is applicable to all social work categories. Other professionals: Contact your regulatory board to determine course approval. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon successful completion of the discussion questions, post-test and course evaluation.

How it Works: This 12-hour, 6-week eCourse is presented in six parts, one each week. It includes videos, self-assessments, readings, participatory exercises, facilitated e-discussions, a post-test and evaluation. You can expect to put in an average of two hours per week.

Regular Fee: $299 Early bird: $259. Registration fee includes all course materials.No charge for post test and continuing education certificate.

Certificates will be emailed within 30 days after successful completion of the post test.

Cancellation: Refunds (minus a $50 processing fee) are available. Please note: refunds are not available once access to the course has been given.

Post test & Evaluation:The post test is open book and you have three chances to succeed. A 70% grade is required to pass. Access the post test will be made available upon registration.
