A Personal Guide to Workplace Wellness & Resilience

Workplace wellness matters. It matters because everything we do and every emotion we feel relates to our well-being.  In turn, our well-being directly affects our actions, emotions, and overall resilience. Leaders know that to be effective, it is essential that they and front-line staff alike find realistic, effective options for managing on-going change and uncertainties, in ways that foster positive workplace wellness and resilience. This eCourse will explore current, leading research and topics related to enhancing personal workplace wellness & resilience best practices that are both attainable and sustainable, in support of optimal health and wellness for all. Concepts such as the triangle of well-being and resiliency, the healthy mind platter, river of integration and  mindsight will be discussed.

Upon completion of this 12 credit, six week Category A, ACSW approved workshop applicable to all social work categories and levels, participants will be able to:

  • Identify relevant workplace wellness/resiliency best practices for enhancing their quality of life – both professionally and personally.
  • Gain better understanding of creative approaches/best practices advocated by innovative thought leaders.
  • Link the Power of Thought and Positive Thinking to their personal health and wellness choices.
  • Identify and work through potential barriers and roadblocks that may hamper their progress.
  • Develop realistic, sustainable wellness/resiliency goals which support their optimal sense of health and well-being.
  • Add new strategies and best practices to their Workplace Wellness & Resilience Toolbox.

Instructor: Jeanie Paterson, MA, CPC, is deeply committed to helping others make empowering professional and personal choices that support their capacity to THRIVE.  She has a MA in Leadership Studies, is Certified as a Professional Coach, and an accredited facilitator of Appreciative Inquiry, Personality Dimensions, and Coaching Out of the Box®. She has taught similar coursework as an associate faculty member of both Royal Roads and Vancouver Island Universities.

CE Credit: This eCourse qualifies for 12 CE credits. For example, upon successful completion, Social Workers will receive 12 Category “A” credits under the ACSW competence requirements. This eCourse is applicable to all social work categories. Other professionals: Contact you regulatory board to determine course approval.

How it Works: On a weekly basis,  you will view related videos, complete self-assessments, read articles, deepen awareness through reflective practice, participate in on-line discussions, and, if you are seeking CEU credits,  complete an open book post test at the end of the course.

Registration:  Register online at www.elearningtoflourish.com. Shortly before the course begins, you will be sent an invitation with instructions on how to sign in and get started.

Registration fee includes all course materials. 

Regular Fee: $299. Early bird: $259. No charge for post test and continuing education certificate.

Post test & Evaluation: The post test is open book and you have three chances to succeed. A 70% grade is required to pass. Access the post test will be made available upon registration. Certificates will be emailed within 30 days after successful completion of the post test.

Cancellation: Refunds (minus a $50 processing fee) are available. Please note: refunds are not available once access to the course has been given.
